PARTNER INSTALLATION PREVIEW · LINUX + macOS
Partner installation preview
Install Core from Terminal with one command, then install Work for employees. Core runs as a background service with a browser admin console. Work is a desktop preview without Apple notarization. Both downloads include SHA-256 checksums.

Core 1.4.0-preview.9 · Direct downloads, progress and cancellation
Core updates now show download percentage, transferred bytes, speed and estimated remaining time. Administrators can cancel downloading, verification or waiting for running work; the current Core and business data are retained. A download stops automatically after two minutes without data. Backup, switching and recovery steps complete as a protected transaction. LAN access on port 3100 remains enabled by default.
Core and Work packages now download directly from downloads.bizclaw.com. If you have Core preview.5, preview.6 or preview.7, run the official installation command once to upgrade the older updater. Stop or recover an interrupted update first. The script downloads with visible progress, verifies the release, then upgrades the existing installation with local backups and rollback. Company accounts, Cases and settings are retained. Preview.9 supports direct downloads in subsequent Admin and Terminal updates. The Terminal commands are bizclaw-core update --check and bizclaw-core update --cancel; update check is also a check-only alias.
Installation and acceptance steps
1. Prepare your Core host
Core supports Linux x86_64 and ARM64 (Ubuntu 22.04+ / Debian 12+ with glibc 2.35+) and Apple silicon Macs running macOS 14+. Work is currently available for macOS Apple silicon. Core can run on an Ubuntu server while employees use Work on their Macs. Use a separate user account or Core data directory for a fresh installation test.
2. Install Core
Open Terminal and run the Core installation command below. The script downloads and verifies the release, installs the CLI and bundled runtimes under ~/.local/share/bizclaw-core, adds bizclaw-core to your command path, and starts a user background service. Run the installer as your normal user. On Linux, it may request sudo to install LibreOffice, OCR, fonts and Chromium system libraries, and to keep the user service running after SSH logout. Core itself runs as your user.
3. Start Core and set up the company
After installation, open http://CORE-HOST-IP:3100/admin from a computer on the same LAN and create the company’s first administrator. On the Core host itself, use http://127.0.0.1:3100/admin. Use bizclaw-core service status in a new terminal to check the background service. Business data remains in ~/.bizclaw-core. Core listens on 0.0.0.0:3100 by default, so LAN computers can connect directly using the Core host’s IP address. The installer prints available LAN admin URLs. If Core is already running from an earlier installation, stop that service explicitly before starting the CLI service; the installer preserves existing data.
4. Configure licensing, models and employees
In Core Admin, check Case Capacity and configure the company’s model provider, API key and employee accounts. Live License Hub activation requires a valid company license and the Hub’s signing public key. The initial local license snapshot is for this installation test; commercial partner licensing still requires separate acceptance. Core manages OAuth and platform credentials. Work connects to Core.
5. Install Work
Download and open the Work DMG, then drag BizClaw Work into Applications. Eject the disk image and open Work from Applications. If macOS blocks this unnotarized preview, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and allow Work to open. Enter http://CORE-HOST-IP:3100 when Core is on another computer on the same LAN, or http://127.0.0.1:3100 on the same computer, then sign in with an employee account created in Core.
6. Test a complete business workflow
Create a Case and check the 12 work methods and the Sources, Deliverables and Follow-up areas. Upload a document, request an Excel comparison table, then download and check the result. Also test web research, browser sign-in with employee handoff and return to AI, completing action items, and LTF export. AI and web research require a configured model provider and network access.
7. Restart and hand over
Quit and reopen Work, then confirm that Cases and deliverables remain available. Restart Core and check that administrators, employees, Cases and LTF records are preserved. Core uses a user systemd service with linger on Linux, and a launchd user service on macOS. Business data is retained by Core rather than uploaded to BizClaw Site.
8. Update Core
In Core Admin, open Settings → Core settings → Core updates, check for a new release and start the update as a company administrator. In Terminal, use bizclaw-core update --check and bizclaw-core update. Updates verify the official release signature, wait for running work, back up company files locally, restart Core and check its health. Failed updates restore the previous version and data. For an interrupted update, use bizclaw-core update --recover.
Use the Core host’s LAN address to connect from other computers. The company administrator can configure TLS, network permissions and License Hub for the deployment.
Core commands: bizclaw-core version, bizclaw-core service start, bizclaw-core service stop, bizclaw-core service restart and bizclaw-core service status. Foreground operation: bizclaw-core start. Run bizclaw-core help for backup and other commands.
